Politician’s Home Set Ablaze By Gunmen

The news at our desk has it that politician’s country home was set ablaze by unknown gunmen in Imo State, Nigeria.

A State House of Assembly aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) country home and that of his father was burnt to ashes by some gunmen who are yet to be identified.

According to Punch newspaper, Ifeanyi Ozoemena who is the PDP flag bearer for his State constituency reported with bitterness that his country home in Okigwe and that of his beloved father was set ablaze on Tuesday, around 2:00pm.

According to the politician, “my house and that of my father at Umuokparaoha village in Umulolo community in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State were razed on Tuesday”.

“They struck around 2pm, set the houses on fire and supervised the burning. The two houses and the properties got destroyed in the attack. They operated unchallenged. I am distraught. This is unfortunate”.

“I call on the Commissioner of Police to intervene. I am grateful that no life was lost. My aged parents were not around when they struck”, he added.
