In a tragic incident on Thursday morning at around 10am, another illegal mining site collapsed in Adunu community, located within the Paikoro local government area of Niger state. The collapse has resulted in the loss of three lives, with rescue efforts currently underway to save others who may be trapped.

Abdullahi Baba’rah, the Director General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), confirmed the heartbreaking news. As of now, the exact number of individuals still trapped remains uncertain, but one fortunate person has been successfully rescued from the debris.
