Benue State’s Deputy Governor, Sam Ode, has refuted allegations linking him to a purported plan to impeach Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.
Addressing stakeholders at an All Progressives Congress (APC) meeting in Government House, Makurdi, Ode clarified his stance amid earlier opposition to the gathering by a faction of the party led by Austin Agada.
In a strong rebuttal, Ode emphasized his disinterest in assuming the governor’s position, citing biblical admonitions against coveting another’s office. He unequivocally distanced himself from any such plot, affirming his commitment to his current role and responsibilities.
