The leading leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has condemned the attacks going on in the Southeastern region of Nigeria.
Nnamdi Kanu who was allegedly arrested in Kenya and detained in Nigeria by the DSS to answer for some cases which he was accused of condemned the attack by some suspected IPOB members in the southeastern region of the country.
He made this known to the public through his special counsel and IPOB, Aloy Ejimakor, who visited him in the DSS detention on Monday.
Aloy Ejimakor said the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was very sad on hearing of the attacks in the southeastern region.
According to Aloy Ejimakor, “I had a visitation with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu today (Monday).
“With profound sadness, he received news of the staggered attacks of the past few days across the South-East, including the one at my hometown.
“He asked me to strongly condemn the attacks on his behalf and convey his comfort to all the victims.”
Aloy Ejimakor’s hometown was one the places that were attacked by those who are suspected to be members of the IPOB. These attacks are coming after Simon Ekpa (who said he has taken over from Nnamdi Kanu till he regains his freedom) directed for a 5 day Sit At Home in the Southeastern region of Nigeria (the supposed Biafra Land).
Nnamdi Kanu has been in detention despite the Nigerian court granting him bail earlier this year. The Federal government has refused to honor the court order, instead, they brought in new charges against him.
