Traditional rulers, including HRH Igwe Jonas Okongwu, HRH Igwe Odera Ndú, and HRH Igwe Emma Anichebe (Chairman of the Ezeagu Council of Traditional Rulers), also expressed their support, presenting Ndu with the symbolic offor, a traditional staff of good governance, as a blessing and a guide throughout his tenure.
During the event, Ndu assured the people of Umana and Ezeagu of his dedication to delivering on his campaign promises. He introduced his vision for a “Green Ezeagu”, a massive development initiative known as the “Future is Green Project”, aimed at improving infrastructure, creating jobs, and ultimately reducing insecurity. He noted that sustainable development will create opportunities and tackle the underlying causes of unrest in the region.
