Abia State Governor Alex Otti has voiced his deep sorrow over the shocking murder of a couple in Bende Local Government Area. The victims, Jacob Udo and Comfort Udo, were reportedly beheaded by unidentified assailants.
In response to the tragedy, Governor Otti has instructed security agencies to launch a comprehensive investigation to apprehend those responsible for this brutal act.
A statement issued by Chief Press Secretary Ukoha Njoku Ukoha conveyed the governor’s condolences to the families affected by this crime. “On behalf of the Government of Abia State, the governor expresses his heartfelt sympathies to the victims’ family and assures the public that efforts are underway to ensure that the perpetrators face justice,” the statement read.
Additionally, the governor has tasked government officials with exploring ways to support the dependents of the victims during this difficult time.
