
Rt. Hon. Barr. Sunday Cyriacus Umeha, the distinguished Member representing Ezeagu/Udi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, paid a respectful visit to the esteemed Chairman of the South East Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Lawrence O. C. Agubuzor, at his residence in Enugu on March 19th, 2024.
The purpose of this visit was twofold: firstly, to express gratitude to the Traditional Ruler for his invaluable role in fostering peace both within and beyond his domain, and secondly, to seek his esteemed blessings and guidance. During their meeting, the esteemed duo delved into various issues of national significance, particularly those pertinent to Enugu and the broader Igbo Nation.
Hon. Umeha lauded Igwe Agubuzor, describing him as an invaluable repository of wisdom and knowledge, which has served as the bedrock of his exceptional leadership. He fervently prayed for God’s continued grace upon His Royal Majesty, blessing him with many more years of fruitful reign.
In response, His Royal Majesty expressed his gratitude to Hon. Umeha and his delegation for their thoughtful visit, which he deemed in line with the finest traditions of the Igbo people. A significant moment of the occasion was the presentation of Igwe Agubuzor’s book, ‘In the Line of Duty,’ to Hon. Umeha, symbolizing a gesture of mutual respect and admiration.
