Children’s Day: They Are Bearers Of The Nation’s Torch — Tinubu

He asked parents to instill in their kids virtues like charity, hard labor, humility, honesty, and modesty.

President Bola Tinubu has said he wished that parents would begin to reinforce the family unit where the sacred values of honesty, modesty, hard work and charity are passed down to children who are the shining lights of the future.

Tinubu referred to Nigeria’s youth as the nation’s torchbearers in a statement released on Monday by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale.

He urged the preservation of the values that make our country wholesome, nurturing, and prosperous, stating that society is a mirror of each family unit as a collective. While celebrating with guardians, parents, and families around the country, the President declared that his administration is doing everything within its power to guarantee that Nigerian children have a strong foundation for the achievement of their aspirations.

He said with increased investments in education and the recent overhauling of the entire education system to provide both human and material resources for learning, as well as the efforts of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education to get the nation’s precious gifts off the streets, his administration will continue to expand access to qualitative education for all Nigerians.

The President also reassured the nation of his commitment to ensuring a safe and secure ambience of learning for the children while improving the standard of education.

” I want to call for a reinforcement of the family unit as a place where the sacred values of honesty, modesty, hard work and charity are passed down to the shining lights of tomorrow,”

President Bola Tinubu’s appeal to parents to instill in their children the noble principles of integrity, humility, diligence, and altruism serves as a poignant reminder of the critical role that families play in determining the course of the country. These principles serve as the beacon that will lead the following generation to a wealthy and peaceful society. Although the family is the main institution for passing down values, the community, the government, and educators must work together to assist this process.

Together, we can make sure that kids acquire the morals and values necessary to grow up to be responsible, moral, and caring adults. They will continue the heritage of integrity, humility, dedication, and charity as the future of the country’s torchbearers, improving the globe for future generations.
