It is a sad day for the people of Imo State, Nigeria as they lose a lawmaker Arthur Egwim who is representing the good people of the Ideato North state constituency.
Hon. Arthur Egwim who was representing Ideato North state constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly was reported dead following some health-related issues.

In a statement which was signed by the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka (APC Ehime Mbano) confirming the incident, he described Hon. Arthur Egwim as a ranking parliamentarian of note and a strong voice at the assembly.
Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka further noted that his death will create a vacuum in the house as he was one of the house’s “finest and best brains” and prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.
Hon. Arthur Egwim who was first elected to the State House of Assembly in 2015 served as a chief whip of the house.
He later contested for the House of Representatives seat in the February 25th national assembly elections on the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) platform, but didn’t succeed.
