
Renowned figure in Nigeria’s film industry, Nollywood producer Ikechukwu Nnadi, widely known as Andy Best, has reportedly passed away after a prolonged illness.
Nnadi, who had been grappling with health challenges, breathed his last at a private clinic in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State, on Tuesday.
The news of Nnadi’s demise was confirmed by Mr. Seun Oloketuyi, the organizer of the Best of Nollywood awards, who shared the sad news via an Instagram post.
“Today, we mourn the passing of Andy Best, a prominent Nollywood producer and marketer. He breathed his last in an Owerri hospital,” Oloketuyi wrote in the post.
Until his untimely demise, Nnadi served as the Chief Executive Officer of Andy Best Production, contributing to the creation of several notable films such as “Lion of Africa,” “White Poison,” “My Father’s Cup,” and many others.
Originally from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area in Imo State, Nnadi’s contributions to the Nigerian film industry have left an indelible mark.
Following his passing, Nnadi’s remains have been deposited at the Aladinma Mortuary in Owerri.
