Police Confirm Abduction of Three UNICAL Students; Collaborate with Agencies for Rescue Efforts

The Cross River Police Command has officially confirmed the abduction of three students from the University of Calabar (UNICAL). According to SP Irene Ugbo, the spokesperson of the command, the incident occurred on Thursday night within one of the university hostels on campus.

While SP Ugbo did not provide specific details regarding the abduction, she assured that the police, in collaboration with other agencies, are diligently working towards the safe rescue of the abducted students.

A source, speaking on condition of anonymity, identified the abducted students as Ojang Precious Ebejin, a 200-level student of the Department of Medicine and Surgery; Ugwu Chukwuemeka, a 300-level student of the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology; and Damilola Dickson, a final-year student in the same department.
