A friend of the late Andrew Ochekwo, Mr. Ben, has made allegations against human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu, claiming he is involved in a cover-up.
Mr. Ben claims that Gwamnishu is collaborating with specific police personnel to hide the truth about Celine Ndudim and Afiba’s disappearance. Celine and Afiba vanished on April 28 after visiting Andrew in Aba. Mr. Ben recently accused Gwamnishu of fabricating evidence in a social media post, implying that the missing women might still be alive.

He also claims that $50,000 went missing from Andrew’s house after an unrecorded search by Gwamnishu and the police officers.
Mr. Ben has vowed to reveal more information about Gwamnishu’s alleged actions, mentioning a past imprisonment related to kidnapping and theft.
“You are not interested in the girls that is why you went to identify fake bodies; you’re part of the police people. You told Nigerians N80M left Andrew’s account; who told you this? Who did you transfer it to? You did a search with the police in that house, $50K is missing,” he said in parts.
Recall that Harrison Gwamnishu has been following the Late Andrew’s case ever since his two pals vanished after visiting him? Harrison has come up to address the public about the reasons they should cease demonizing Andrew Ochekwo’s victims in the wake of rumors that the missing girls were involved in hook-ups. Gwamnishu stressed that there is no evidence to back up claims that the women were “hookup” girls who dated the late Andrew Ochekwo in order to make money. Harrison made it clear that, contrary to what some have said, there is no hard proof that Celine and Andrew ever discussed money.
Mr. Ben’s profoundly unsettling charges against Harrison Gwamnishu have clouded the inquiry into Celine Ndudim and Afiba’s disappearance. To find the truth and guarantee justice for the missing girls and their families, it is imperative that a comprehensive and unbiased investigation be carried out as the case progresses. Maintaining the integrity of the inquiry is vital, and the public expects accountability and openness from those in positions of power. Finding Celine and Afiba and making sure that justice is done must continue to come first, regardless of the veracity of the accusations made against Gwamnishu and the involved police personnel.
Ultimately, this case is a sobering reminder of the difficulties and complexities that sometimes accompany the search for justice. It emphasizes the necessity of being watchful, honest, and compassionate when dealing with such significant issues, as well as the significance of upholding the values of justice and truth in the midst of difficulty.
