During a Ramadan Iftar gathering with traditional rulers and religious leaders in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu called for a more constructive approach from religious leaders in their sermons, advising against vilifying Nigeria.
Tinubu emphasized the pivotal role of religious leaders in shaping public opinion and fostering national unity, urging them to refrain from condemning the nation in their teachings. He stressed the importance of constructive criticism and cooperation with the government to address challenges effectively.
While acknowledging the nation’s issues, Tinubu encouraged patience until the next election to effect change in leadership rather than cursing the country. He emphasized the need to maintain faith in Nigeria’s potential for positive transformation.
Expressing gratitude for birthday wishes, Tinubu highlighted the significance of his birthday coinciding with Good Friday and extended well wishes to attendees for their safety and good health.
