Nigerian Singer Speed Darlington Arrested Again in Owerri

Speed Darlington Rearrested by Police in Owerri

Nigerian artist Darlington Okoye, widely known as Speed Darlington, has been rearrested by the Nigerian Police in Owerri, Imo State.

The news was disclosed by his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, in a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday morning.

“Our client Speed Darlington, a.k.a. AKPI, has been arrested by the Nigerian Police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria,” Adeyanju wrote.

Details surrounding the reason for the singer’s arrest were still unclear at the time of this report.

This development comes just weeks after Speed Darlington was taken into custody by the police on October 4 for allegedly cyberstalking fellow musician Burna Boy. He was subsequently released on bail on October 9 after spending five days in detention.
