No coma, it just comed, they are just creating content”

Ijoba Lande responds to rumors about Aunty Ramata's condition.

Yoruba skit maker, Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande has refuted claims suggesting that Nigerian actress and comedian Ramota Adetu, popularly known as Aunty Ramota, is in a coma due to complications arising from Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.

Blogger Tosin Silverdam started the debate by claiming on Instagram that Aunty Ramota had BBL surgery to improve her appearance. According to Tosin Silverdam, Aunty Ramota was left in a coma as a result of serious complications from the treatment, which took place in a hospital in the Ikorodu neighborhood of Lagos State.

Ijoba Lande, on the other hand, quickly addressed the matter, claiming that the widely shared video showing Aunty Ramota having the purported surgery was only set up for “content” purposes.

Ijoba Lande made it clear that he had spoken with people close to Aunty Ramota, and they had verified that the BBL process was a hoax. Comedians Dare and Ebute Council let Lande know how disappointed he was with them, saying that while they had at first verified the incident’s veracity, they had since refused to talk to him when he tried to get the facts straight. He also talked about trying to get in touch with Aboki, Aunty Ramota’s associate, who likewise purportedly denied knowing about the incident.

Lande addressed the audience in a video posted on his TikTok account, asking people to maintain their composure because Aunty Ramota is not unconscious.

In his words;

“I’m disappointed in Dare and Ebute Council over what happened to Ramota; even you, Aboki, deny knowledge of what happened. I called you to beg if it was a prank or content but you said it was real. I called Dare and Ebute Council, and Aunty Lara, but they refused to pick up their calls. I later got to know that Aunty Lara travelled.

“Nigerians, Aunty Ramota is not in coma; initially, I thought it was content but when I saw them carrying her in a stretcher, that was when I knew. I called Aunty Lara’s mother; she didn’t pick up, then I sent a voice note; that was when she told me that it was not real. She informed me that Aunty Ramota is not in Lagos, and that they went to Ede or someplace.

“Let me stress again that Ramota is not in a coma, I was just told that it’s content and I don’t know her whereabouts. Everybody should relax because it’s content.”

The story of Aunty Ramota’s BBL surgery serves as a reminder of how crucial it is to distinguish reality from fiction in the entertainment industry, where drama and intrigue frequently rule supreme. Comedian Ijoba Lande’s comments have shown the genuine nature of the problem, despite the fact that the dispute may have initially aroused alarm and curiosity. It is critical to view online content with discernment and to challenge the narratives that materialize in front of us when the dust settles and the truth comes to light. Laughter may be the best medicine after all, but honesty and integrity should never be sacrificed for the sake of humor.
