Four Arrested for Armed Robbery in Nasarawa; Stolen Vehicle Recovered

The Nasarawa State Police Command has apprehended four individuals suspected of involvement in armed robbery and successfully recovered a stolen vehicle.

According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent Ramhan Nansel, the arrests took place on Sunday. Suspects Salim Hussaini, Abdulkadir Musa, and Dimas Danja were taken into custody by operatives from the Mararaba ‘A’ Division. Another suspect, Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar, was arrested in the New Karu area.

During the initial operation, police recovered a fabricated rifle, a knife, and various criminal charms. Additionally, they retrieved a blue Toyota Camry with the registration number RBC 980 DA from Abubakar, who resides in the Mabushi area of Abuja.

The police spokesperson noted that the suspects have admitted to being part of a gang responsible for a series of armed robberies in Mararaba and its surrounding areas.

Commissioner of Police Umar Shehu Nadada has urged the owner of the recovered vehicle to visit the New Karu Area Command with proof of ownership to reclaim their property.
