Islamic Republic: Majidreza Rahnavard Executed Over Protests

The Islamic Republic of Iran has carried out a second execution over antigovernmental protests escalating in the country. Majidreza Rahnavard was executed over a protest.

He was hanged in the public on Monday morning, in the city of Mashhad, the judiciary said.

Majidreza Rahnavard was a 23-year-old wrestler in Iran, an Iranian court convicted him of the charge of “enmity against God, acusing him of killing two members of the Basij volunteer force and that he wounded four others.

Reports has it that they called Rahnavard’s family at 7 a.m. Iranian (local time) and told them to go to the Beheste Reza cemetery. ‘We executed your child and buried him,’ they said.

Another report on Twitter stated that he is the second to be executed for protesting after a sham trial. And that at least 500 people have been killed in the streets, and at least 15,000 imprisoned for protesting, the report said.

Firouz M. Naderi while reacting to the news on Twitter said “The Islamic Terrorists have taken the nation of Iran hostage and have threatened that they will kill as many as they can, Jail as many as they can, and execute as many as they can until they subdue the nation”.

Many others have also used their social media platforms to render their voices against the Iranian government asking the world leaders to stop them before it becomes too late.
