Kano Village Head’s wife, Son Kidnapped By Bandits

Two family members of Kano village head have been kidnapped by bandits.

According to reports, those kidnapped are his wife, Halima Kabiru, 38, and Dahiru Kabiru, 20.

The police commissioner in the State, Mamman Dauda who confirmed the abduction to newsmen said that the command received information about the attack at about 12:45 a.m. on Sunday that the bandits kidnapped the village head’s wife and son from their residence in Kano.

According to him, “the kidnappers took the victims to an unknown destination. On receipt of the information, we immediately formed a rescue team in neighbouring divisions. As we speak, the team is working assiduously to rescue the victims unhurt.”

The commissioner referred to the incident as unfortunate and assured newsmen that his men will do everything within their power to rescue the victims.
