The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced dates for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The board said sales for forms for the examination will start on January 15 and end on February 26.
The process of obtaining examination forms is a crucial aspect of the JAMB UTME, and JAMB has outlined a specific timeline for the sale of forms for the 2024 examination. Prospective candidates can purchase the UTME forms starting on January 15, with the sales period officially closing on February 26.
During this window, candidates are encouraged to complete their registration processes promptly to avoid any last-minute rushes or complications. The sale of forms marks the beginning of the entire examination process, setting the stage for candidates to officially express their intent to participate in the UTME.
Aspiring candidates need to be aware of several important details to navigate the UTME registration process successfully. Firstly, they should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria set by JAMB, which includes obtaining the minimum required credits in relevant subjects at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent.
Additionally, candidates must carefully follow the registration guidelines provided by JAMB to avoid any errors or discrepancies in their application. This includes providing accurate personal information, selecting the correct subjects for the examination, and uploading necessary documents.
In a statement by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor (PAC), Fabian Benjamin, the board said the main UTME will be held from April 19th to 29th, 2024.
The statement reads: “Based on the series of recommendations emanating from a two-day Information Technology (IT) and Management Retreat held between November 26th and 28th, 2023, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed January 15th to February 26th, 2024, for the sale of its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application document.
“Meanwhile, 7th March 2024, has been slated for the 2024 MOCK-UTME, while the main UTME will hold from 19th to 29th April 2024.
“Candidates are expected to print their examination slips as of 10th April 2024. Candidates are enjoined to take note of these dates and other advisories issued by the Board in relation to the administration of the examination. They are also to visit the Board’s website @www.jamb gov. ng for any other information.”
